Our Firm

Bogal & Kahn LLP is a law firm offering corporate, real estate, structured finance and bankruptcy services, both as legal advisor and business strategist, to a broad spectrum of clients, including financial institutions, private investment funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs), restaurant investment funds and operators, and other industry participants. Our attorneys have expertise on issues encountered by both startups as well as mature companies, advising on formation issues, joint ventures, financings and debt offerings, asset sales and bankruptcy-related matters.

Our firm brings together a team of highly-accomplished attorneys with extensive legal and business experience, both at leading global law firms and as company founders and internal counsel. We have deep experience in a range of complex transactions and general corporate matters, particularly all areas of real estate finance, including commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans and preferred equity instruments. We also have substantial experience in structured finance, including hybrid debt instruments such as trust preferred securities, collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) and other securitizations. Additionally, our team is skilled in financial restructuring matters, having advised numerous debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, investors and potential acquirers regarding distressed company situations and corporate restructurings. The unique combination of our broad technical knowledge and our diverse business and legal experience positions our firm to lead negotiations on behalf of our clients and to provide strategic business counsel and sophisticated legal advice.

Bogal & Kahn LLP is dedicated to delivering legal services effectively and at a reasonable cost to our clients. We aim to provide practical legal and business advice that is valuable to our clients, and to achieve superior results based on a full understanding of the objectives of our clients.
